Damion Crawford made his journey from little lane to Duke Street when he became the Member of Parliament of East Rural and St Andrew He was no stranger to political activism as he served as e is a former President of the People’s National Party Youth Organisation (2008), Guild of Students UWI Mona (2004) and UWI Bahamas (2000). He was also the Hall Chairman for Taylor Hall in 2003. Damion Crawford was the recipient of the UWI Awards for Excellence in Leadership (2003) and Track and Field (2000). As Guild President, he spearheaded a revolving loan scheme at the Credit Union for students in need. This Credit Union initiative now serves as a model for other Universities in Jamaica.
